About Body Translator
Who writes this
My name is Longshan Sun. I am a functional rehabilitation therapist with 15 years of clinical practice, and the founder of Body Translator.
My work is unglamorous and fairly specific: people come to me with a problem that has not responded to the obvious fixes. The shoulder that aches every evening. The back that hurts when sitting but not standing. The nights that end at 3am. In most of those cases the painful spot is not where the problem is — it is downstream of a joint or a habit that stopped moving. Finding that upstream point is the whole job.
Why this site exists
Most health writing is written for the average reader and therefore helps no one in particular. The advice is not wrong, it is just too general to act on: "improve your sleep hygiene", "strengthen your core", "reduce stress".
This site takes one question at a time and answers it directly, then shows the reasoning, then gives you a way to test it yourself. Where a question cannot be answered safely without a clinician, the page says so and stops.
How the content is reviewed
Every page that touches health follows the same rules:
- Each factual claim must carry a source, or be explicitly marked as first-hand clinical experience.
- No page diagnoses, treats, or promises an outcome.
- Every self-check has a written "stop and seek care" condition.
- Pages that have not passed review are not indexed by search engines.
What this is not
This is educational content. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it does not replace an assessment by a licensed clinician. If a page points you toward clinical care, that is the page working correctly, not failing.
