What this site is
One question, answered directly, with the reasoning shown. Most health writing buries the answer under five paragraphs of hedging. Here the answer comes first, then the mechanism, then a way for you to test it yourself.
How to use it
1. Find the page that matches your problem. Start with the [articles](/blog/). 2. Read the short answer at the top. If it does not match your situation, stop reading — it is not about you. 3. Run the self-check on that page. A week of one change beats a drawer of products. 4. If the self-check points somewhere clinical, stop and go there. That is a success, not a failure.
What this site will not do
- It will not diagnose you. No page can, and any page that claims to is lying.
- It will not sell you a cure. There is no supplement, mask or gadget that resolves a mechanical or behavioural problem on its own.
- It will not tell you to ignore a red flag. Some symptoms mean "see someone this week", and those are labelled clearly.
When to stop reading and see a clinician
Do not self-test, and seek medical assessment, if you have any of these:
- Loud snoring with gasping, choking, or pauses in breathing
- Falling asleep during the day without meaning to
- Chest pain, breathlessness at rest, or palpitations
- Sudden weakness, numbness, or vision changes
- Severe pain that is getting worse rather than settling
- Thoughts of harming yourself
These are not "keep reading" situations. They are "book an appointment" situations.
